Antimagic Susceptibility. The sword is {@condition incapacitated} while in the area of an antimagic field. If targeted by dispel magic, the sword must succeed on a Constitution saving throw against the caster’s spell save DC or fall {@condition unconscious} for 1 minute.

False Appearance. While the sword remains motionless and isn’t flying, it is indistinguishable from a normal sword.

Darkling Trait- Designate Wielder. You can Attune yourself to a creature as an Action. This works like one can attune themselves to a magical item, assuming the subject is willing and follows the usual restrictions for attunement. While attuned your fly speed becomes 50ft (hover) so long as you are within 50ft of your wielder and can communicate with them telepathically.

Darkling Trait- Lesser Duplicate Aspect. Whenever you offer up a weapon for XP, you may additionally spend 1 Advancement Point to learn its Aspect. The weapon can be magical, but no rarer than uncommon, and can be at most Medium in size (a weapon fit for a Large creature).
Knowing an Aspect allows you to Evolve (as per usual rules, except you don’t need to advance to another CR) into that specific weapon, gaining all of its abilities and functionalities. Any attack or damage properties are applied to your own attack in this form as well. All learned Aspects carry over between your forms.

Actions

Longsword. {@atk mw} {@hit 3} to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. {@h}5 ({@damage 1d8 + 1}) slashing damage. You can use this attack even if wielded by another creature without issues for either of you. This is assuming they are willing to let you go, though! Otherwise, treat it as though you were Grappled.
